About Us

From the pages of time…

The Rotary Club of Kankurgachi RID 3291 was founded on 13th June 2007 with the aim of serving the communities in need through the commitment of its’ esteemed members’ contributions of time and resources. Since the very beginning, the club has been actively engaged in a plethora of charitable events and programmes held in various communities with the goal of providing medical and non-medical aid as well as, ensuring access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene among the less fortunate communities which has been recognised by both Rotary International (RI) and District 3291 through recurring awards and citations every year.

The club continues with the vision “Service Above Self” of Late Club Trainer PP Sumita Lodh burned into its’ framework and spirit through her years of nurturing club leadership and integrity amongst the members on the founding principles of Rotary. We recognise the necessity of a diverse membership in order to maintain a sustainable ability to positively impact the community we serve and, therefore, consider all applications with seriousness and transparency in order to bolster our club’s varied strengths which come from our members’ collective resources and talents.

The Club members hold regular meetings to discuss our ongoing projects and club matters followed by the occasional fellowship sessions in order to promote team cohesion and encourage critical discussion.
